By accessing AltScan ("the Service") at altscan.lol, participating in any verification flow, or interacting with our Discord applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately. These Terms apply to all users, communities, and integrations of the Service.
We may update these Terms at any time. Amendments are effective upon posting to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after amendments constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through participating communities where practicable.
AltScan is a Discord account verification and community management platform. The Service provides:
AltScan is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Discord Inc. References to Discord are for identification purposes only. AltScan is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Roblox Corporation. Any Robux-denominated prizes are provided solely by the hosting community.
You must meet all requirements to use the Service:
Verification uses Discord's OAuth2 authorization protocol. When you click an authorization button, Discord's own servers handle your session — AltScan never receives, processes, or stores your Discord password. Upon authorization, AltScan receives a scoped access token limited to the permissions displayed before you authorize: account identification and, depending on the verification type selected, email confirmation and server-join capability.
Verification exists as a security measure against alternate accounts. Each Discord account may hold one verification. Attempts to verify multiple accounts controlled by one person for the purpose of gaining multiple giveaway entries constitute fraud under Section 6 and may result in permanent disqualification.
You may revoke authorization at any time through Discord Settings → Authorized Apps. Revocation deactivates your verified status; see our Privacy Policy for data handling on revocation.

We investigate suspected violations using the technical data described in our Privacy Policy and may suspend or terminate access unilaterally where a breach reasonably appears to have occurred.
Communities using AltScan may host giveaways in which verified members receive entries. The following terms govern all such promotions:
Administrators using AltScan's management tooling agree to:
The Service — including its software, architecture, design system, graphics, text, brand identity, documentation, and all derivative works — is the exclusive property of AltScan and its licensors, protected under applicable intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, decompile, reverse-engineer, or extract the source of any Service component beyond what is expressly permitted by law. The AltScan name, logo, and visual identity may not be used without written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Your Discord account and content remain exclusively yours. You grant AltScan only the limited license described in our Privacy Policy, strictly as necessary to operate the Service.
The Service depends on Discord's platform and API, plus third-party hosting, DNS, CDN, and database providers. We are not responsible for outages, deprecations, rate limits, breaking API changes, policy shifts, or data handling by these upstream providers. Features may be modified or retired as dependencies evolve. Perpetual compatibility is not guaranteed.
We target high availability and monitor the Service continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance windows, incidents, and upstream failures may cause temporary unavailability. Scheduled maintenance affecting verification will be communicated through participating communities where practicable.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALTSCAN DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES — EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY — INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM ALTSCAN CREATES ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED HEREIN.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALTSCAN, ITS OPERATORS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, GIVEAWAY PRIZES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING FROM USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF SUCH POSSIBILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AltScan and its operators from all claims, liabilities, damages, awards, losses, costs, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any third-party right, including Discord's policies; (c) your breach of applicable law; or (d) your fraudulent use of the verification or giveaway systems. We may assume exclusive defense of indemnified matters, in which case you will cooperate with our reasonable requests.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we reasonably believe violates these Terms, abuses the platform, harms other users, or exposes us to legal or reputational risk. On termination: your authorization tokens are revoked, verified status is deactivated across participating servers, and giveaway entries become void.
You may terminate at any time by revoking the application in Discord Settings → Authorized Apps and requesting data deletion by emailing [email protected] or asking any staff member in a participating community. No fee, penalty, or notice period applies. Sections 8, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein. We may seek injunctive relief for actual or threatened violations in any competent jurisdiction.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force, and the unenforceable provision is reformed to the minimum extent needed to render it enforceable. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that or any other provision. Section headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation. The language of these Terms shall not be construed against either party as drafter.
By using the Service, you consent to receive communications electronically, including through Discord messages, webhook notifications, and updates posted to this page. You may withdraw consent for non-operational communications at any time.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AltScan regarding the Service, superseding all prior understandings, communications, and agreements, written or oral.
